Day 3 | Embracing God's Plans with Hope

Command:

“I will be found by you” Jeremiah 29:14 (NIV)

Read:

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile." Jeremiah 29:11-14 (NIV)

Reflect:

There are days when I forget to turn to God first. The outside world just gets in the way. But as I reflect on this passage, I take comfort in the knowledge that God has plans for me. Plans that are good and full of hope. No matter what circumstances I may face, I can trust that God is with me and working for my good. I am seen, known, and loved perfectly by him. In response, I am learning to call on him, pray, and seek him with all my heart. I know that when I do this, he promises to listen and be found by me. May we rest in the truth that we are never alone and always loved by our Heavenly Father.

React:

What does it mean to you to know that God has plans to prosper and give you hope and a future? How do you seek God with your whole heart in your daily life? In what ways have you felt lost, lonely, or outmatched by circumstances? How have you experienced God's love and acceptance in those moments?

Pray:

Heavenly Father, thank you for loving us perfectly and for having good plans for our lives. Help us to trust in you and seek you with all our hearts. May we always remember that we are seen, known, and loved by you. Amen.
